For volunteers too busy to make a once per week commitment, the "Fun While You Wait" program may be the answer. "Fun While You Wait" leaders commit to attend an agency sponsored group activity every second month which are arranged and supervised by Big Brothers and Big Sisters staff. If supervising and mentoring three or four "Littles" while bowling, playing basketball, water-sliding or hiking sounds like fun to you, the Fun While You Wait program might be just the perfect introduction to the many programs Big Brothers Big Sisters provides.

Big Brothers Big Sisters' "Fun While You Wait" program provides an alternative to our traditional one-to-one program. Some children, especially boys, have a long wait before they are teamed up with a Big Brother or Sister. With the "Fun While You Wait" bi-monthly activity program we offer these children an opportunity to be involved in our program and benefit by interacting with other children and volunteer mentors.
